In 2000, the members of the Lebanon Garden Club were asked by then Lebanon City Mayor Scott Simpson if they would be willing to revive an old Rose Garden in Ralston City Park.  This Rose Garden was originally created in 1983 and fallen into disarray. Our members took on the challenge, started pulling up weeds, cleaning the beds, taking out dead roses and with the help of generous donors, planted many new roses.
Today there are 130 Roses of many varieties, such as Tea Roses, Floribunda, Old English, Shrub Roses and mini Roses.  Along with a memory bench, two metal arbors that were donated by members.  Also, were planted some daffodils that were donated by the Daffodil Society and all maintained by members' year round.

"Our thanks to Pat and Debbie Gruebele of Green Thumb Garden Center.  Pat is our major contributor to the Ralston City Park Rose Garden, having donated many roses over the years, including 20 replacement roses in the past 5 years.   He also provides technical assistance and advice to our Committee.

We appreciate their kindness and generous support."
